Best of SXSW A-Z: "A"

Album are from Mexico, but don't write music that sounds particularly Mexican. They write electronic/rock tracks, with discordant backing vocals. Beautiful stuff. They've been described as the Radiohead of Mexican music. 


Anamanaguchi are a 4-piece from New York and part of the 8bitpeoples label because their music is, well, 8 bit. Good if you like your video game music.


Nicole Atkins croons over music that reminds me of all that is good about American pop/country.  Country music haters, consider this your guilty pleasure.
